A portrait can mean anything
from a traditional studio
high school portrait, to an
outdoor photo of your pet.
It can also mean a picture of
a musician, a sports figure or
a child at play.
My mentor was Yousuf Karsh.
(December 23, 1908 – July 13, 2002).
He was an Armenian-Canadian
photographer, and one of the
most famous and accomplished
portrait photographers of
all time. He had photographed
many famous personalities all
over the world during his reign
in Photography. In all his
photographs there was an
essence of the persona for
whom he had captured
looking through the lense of his camera.
